And here's my other new story, the Dragon Star!! (Because a few people have been doing stories with people in them this one will have a person too, but lots of dragons)

 

Chapter 1:

A dark black dragon sat at the mouth of a cave, his wings folded. He looked down through the cave mouth to an island below. Stretching out his tail, he prodded at the entrance. An invisible resistance met his tail tip, bending a little with increased pressure. Soon, he thought. Soon we will be ready to leave this place. The door is becoming weaker.

He stood and crossed the cave to the real entrace and stalked down the rocky corridor. His four sets of claws clacked on the ground as he moved, his tail swept back and forth above the ground. The spikes on his neck bristled as he entered another cave.

"Goldenfire!" he called out. "I must speak with you!"

A huge golden dragon emerged from the shadows, his scales the same color as the fire burning in the center of the cave. Goldenfire hesitated when he saw who the visitor was.

"Nightfire? What do you want?"

"The portal is weakening! The eclipse is coming! We must prepare for our revenge on humans!" pressed Nightfire

Goldenfire's eyes narrowed. "Who said anything about revenge? We shall try to live in peace with the humans, as our ancestors did."

"But look what happened to them? They were banished here!"

"Do not question my desicion, Nightfire. You are not leader."

Nightfire growled, then whipped around to stalk out of the cave. He would get his revenge. If Goldenfire wouldn't do it, then he would.

Fantastic! Well written too. Although,  the bit where Nightfire is talking about revenge on the humans is oddly similar to the grand finally to the dragon realm (which is ye to come). Keep going! I like it alot.

Yay, people like it! Here's chapter 2:

 

It was 'night' inside the cave-place, the DarkWorld, well at least it was the time when most dragons were asleep. But one young dragon was curious about the portal. Her white-blue scales shimmering in the light of the torches on the walls of the corridor, she crept silently to the portal-cave.

She gasped as she peered down at the LightWorld, the island in the middle of a wide blue ocean. She prodded at it with her tail like Nightfire had done, and it yeilded a little at her touch.

Suddenly a loose scale broke off from the tip of her tail and sliced through the portal to fall to the island below. The blue-white dragon leaped backwards in shock. Guiltily she slipped back through the corridors to her cave and tried to sleep, wondering about what would happen.

 

Sorry it's so short, the next part has a human in it and I thought it should be another chapter.

Here's chapter 3:

Jessica woke up on a tropical island, with no idea where she was. Then it all came back--the plane ride, when she was flying alone to her mom's house for the summer, because her parents were divorced. The storm, lightning hitting one of the plane's engines. The plunge into the ocean. Swimming to the shore of an island.

She stood, wondering what to do. She was only 15, how was she supposed to survive out here? She supposed she should try to get back to the mainland, but first she needed to find shelter, food, and water. There was a jungle farther inland, so she decided to look for water there. If there was water, then maybe she could stay there until she was rescued. If I'm rescued, she thought.

Avoiding a giant beetle, she stepped into the jungle. While stepping around another large insect, she accidentally nudged a rock with her foot, and turned to look at it. But, was it a rock? It was about the size of her palm, bright blue, and shiny. It was shaped like a fish scale, only much bigger. Jessica bent to pick it up.

As soon as she touched it, A blue light shot out of the rock, and spiraled around before heading off farther into the jungle. Jessica immediatly tried to drop the stone, but she couldn't! She chased after the light, and cried out in surprise when she saw where it led her.

A shallow jungle stream slipped quietly through the jungle. Next to it lay a tall rocky overhang, that would keep out the rain. Around the stream grew many berry bushes.

"Thank you," she whispered, and tucked the strange stone into her pocket.

Here's chapter four.

 

It was night on the island. Jessica fingered the stone in her hand, looking at it in the moonlight. It seemed to glow, bright blue and shimmery, sometimes if she turned it the right way it was a mix of blue and white, shimmering back and forth. She had been looking at the stars, making up constellations. One looked sort of like a dragon, she called the star that was its eye the dragon star.

She had been on the island a week now. She missed her family so much. She wondered what they were thinking, if they knew her plane crashed yet.

Suddenly a huge wind swept in off the shore of the ocean. Jessica looked up. Dark clouds had gathered on the horizon, which meant a storm was coming. But a more powerful one this time. The clouds were swirling around each other, the winds blowing really fast. She had only seen that once before, on a video on the weather channel. A hurricane.

Jessica quickly ran to some caverns she had seen earlier when she was exploring. They would provide shelter, she hoped. Suddenly she realized she had left the stone by the stream. But there was no time to go back for it now, the storm was almost here. Trembling, she tried to fall asleep while the storm roared outside.

If she had looked out side after the storm, she might have seen a lunar eclipse which passed right in front of the Dragon Star, and then flashes of brightly colored fire in the night sky.

Lol! Yeah, that always happens in stories like this. I wonder what the fire was about...Perhaps the dragons in that cave above the island escaped?

Chapter 5? I think that's right...

 

Jessica awoke to find a large, bright golden eye staring back at her. She screamed, and scrambled backwards until she felt the cave wall. At least, she thought it was the wall...

A bright red, scaly, vaguely reptilian head reached down to peer at her with its two smoldering orange eyes, and the wall, which was actually a leg, moved. Jessica screamed again and ran to the center of the cave.

All around her were creatures she could only describe as dragons. Their heads were somewhat triangular, their eyes large and almond-shaped. A crest of spines ran down their necks from the tops of their heads, and three spikes framed the head on either side. Their four taloned feet each ended in sharp, curved claws. Their wings fanned out from their shoulders, leathery skin stretching between the fingers on the wings. Their tails were topped with sharp spikes. Their scales glimmered with iridescence, and each dragon was a different color.

Jessica spotted the golden one that first startled her, and the red one, first, because they were the biggest. She also noticed a light green one, a dark green, a dark blue, a yellow-white, a purple-blue, a black, a brown, a gray, a red-silver, a white-blue, the list seemed almost endless!

"Do not be afraid." Jessica leaped around to the golden one again as he spoke in a low rumble.

"You can talk?" she asked.

The golden dragon laughed, a deep sound that shook the cave. "Of course!"

"My name is Jessica. Are- are you going to eat me, or something?" she was so frightened, she could barely stay standing.

"No, of course not! We want to try again to live in peace with the humans."

Jessica relaxed a bit, but it was hard to relax with giant dragons all around you, no matter what they said!

"I am Goldenfire," the gold dragon went on, "and this is Lavafire," he pointed with his tail at the red dragon, "Leaf-fire," the light green, "Mysticfire," the dark green, "Oceanfire" the dark blue, "Lightningfire," the yellow-white, "Sharpfire," the purple-blue, "Nightfire," the black, "Lionfire," the brown, "Cinderfire," the gray, "Emberfire," the red-silver, "and Starfire, my daughter," the blue-white was pointed to last, she seemed a bit smaller than the others, and younger.

 

sorry, I'll continue this later, thinking of all the dragon names used up my creativity.
