Stupid game! I hate you! Yes, my laptop meets ALL the system requirements, runs great, and has never had a problem before.

 

But today it just up and QUIT on me! I was looking at the overview map, and BOOM! back to the desktop it went! No warning, no error code, nothing at all! It just died! Anyone have any idea as to what happened?

Ouch!  I hate it when something like that happens to me.  I don't know what could have caused it, though.  For future reference: save your game every now and then just in case that happends again.

That happened to me once. And it was a 4 1/2 star zoo, too. Then again my computer is pretty old.

Just check the bottom of your screen on the taskbar and see if the game is in a little rectangle. Sometimes the computer just puts it on pause when it's trying to do something else. If it is there, just click on that rectangle to bring the game back up. It's happened to me before with Zoo Tycoon and other games. The game is still running, it just got paused and minimized.

Thanks, guys. I'll try to remember to save every once in a while. An no Oliver, it didn't minimize it. It comepletely quit! Well, I guess that's Windows Vista for ya, hmm?

I've had Vista for 6 months. No problems at all. I don't get why everyone thinks it's so terrible.

it's not terrible, it's horrid!!! but for some reason, since I got vista I haven't had the crash prob. BUT vista pretty much destoryed my printer!

We think its terrible because there is soo many compatibility issues with programs and games. I've certainly experienced some annoying ones and I'm sure other people have aswell!

Like...? Zoo Tycoon 2 works fine on it for me...

Every game I've purchased since getting Vista has run perfectly. Crysis, Call of Duty 4, Company of Heroes, a ton of of LotR games, and of course ZT2. Never had a problem. Never.

The new service pack fixes most of the problems I hear...

I dont have to worry about Vista/XP viruses any of that, I run Linux (Fedora 9) its the best, but a bit agrivating. I ALMOST switched back but once i got the hang of Linux I've never looked back!
