I think that human reproduction is a process that is never ending. Has anyone ever read the book Extras, by Scott Westerfeld. It's the last book in the "Uglies" series. It talks about what would happen if the earth ran out of room. It's a scary thought that we'll end up leaving our kids and grandkids, and ect. to deal with. And it just keeps piling up. I read one thorery that said that eventually it would be so over populated, they would kill babies until the population would die down, then let people have babies again, then the process would just keep going.

I should look the "Uglies" up, they've been recommended to me frequently.

i'm not worried about overpopulation- at the rate people are dying and being born now, there is no point to worry. It won't happen for millions of years, if things keep going as they are. Plus, the earth will only overpopulate if God wills it to happen.

More like in a few years. The rate people are dying is going down now that countries are becoming more developed and can provided better help. The number of babies that are born that successfully live past childhood is also increasing.

But he also said that humans have dominion over the earth. We shouldn't take second seat to animals.

if there was such a thing as an insignificant species, yes, I would. I'd rather give my life for a flea than survive.

None of these things would've happened if Humans hadn't moved out of their little corner of Africa all those years ago. Let's face it, we're the most unsuccessful species on the planet...ever!

i cant remember who said it but im sorry whoever it was, i would not give my life for a flea but maybe for a monkey or a whale or a tiger or a lion or something more signifigant.  im not trying to blow on any sparks but i dont think the human species is un-successful.  look at our technology, our advanced medicine, look at the missions people have gone on, like in the far reaches of Africa, to give people food and water and friendship. im gonna quote Carl Sagan with this statement.  "All the triumphs and tradgities, all the mishapps and miracles have happened on our tiny planet in the largest expanse of space the world has ever know.  All has happened on Earth."

If we're so unseccsesful, then why do we have buildings, computers, clothes..etc? You wake up, in a soft, warm bed, with comfy sheets and a comforter, and who brought that to you? Your own species. You live in a house, built by...who, but your own species. Wow. If we're so bad, dump all your friends who are humans, leave the forums, and live with the bears like the guy in that movie.
