Ahoy lads and lasses. (my first post, and sorry it's one pointing out a flaw! )

There appears to be a wee bug in the challenge games where certain challenges bug the guests (and possibly other things but I've only noticed the guests.) I believe it may be related to specific challenges where you obtain a new animal (Like being given a breeding partner and they have to mate within a month or two) but I'm not 100%. This is also on ZT2:ES though I think it happened with ZT2 alone as well.

The guests just lose it. After they've done whatever tasks are queued, they start to just stand there "Looking for something to do.". This eventually spreads to the entire zoo and all your guests are just standing there, until they decide to go home.
As well as this, they can't detect where the gate is. They walk in the direction of the spawn/entry/exit point
 and through the gate and zoo boundry walls. Any new guests (which is limited, after a while no-one new arrives so your zoo is entirely empty) also have problems - instead of walking in the direction of the gate, they try and walk to the nearest exhibit, cant (because the boundry's in the way) and then head around through the entrance.

This lasts after you close and re-open your zoo - no guests arrive after you reopen it.

Since a challenge game relies on money (as compared to Freeform) this is rather crippling. Especially if you've worked your way up to four stars or the like.

Just wondering guys/girls - if you don't have time for a patch (does anyone with AA have this problem btw?) could you describe any triggers or anything that goes off when a crate is delivered to a challenge zoo so that someone can at least make an unofficial fix?

That sounds really weird.  That never happened to me on any ZT2 game.  It doesn't happen for me on AA so maybe that one will work for you.

Maybe it's just the version then. I know some others on Zoo Admin have the problem (I don't know whether they're from the same country, ie if UK game has differences to the US) and I had it before and after the latest patch. (Only challenge games, since it's triggered by certain challenges)

After a bit of experimentation it is definitely only when you get new animals delivered to your zoo... so a work around would be just to avoid those challenges, but I'd still like to have em, y'know? And it was a whole lot of hassle before I figured out that it actually WAS them. So far it's only been with the mystery animals and mate-within-1-2months challenges, haven't tried the jungle one, insane-cost-mystery-animal, or zoo-swap-animals challenges.

It could be possible that when changing the language settings on the game to distribute it to different countries, it creates minor flaws in the programming, but its pretty unlikely.

heres a really werid bug: you can change the money you start with in the campains by pressing the arrow keys up or down. and the bored guests semed to have stopped in AA.

That is not a bug, the makers right it in for people to find it.  That cheat is already in the tips and tricks forum.
