    The Ampithere King: Dragon-Lord

I awoke in the darkness of the temple. I glanced up at the small sky-hole, set in the great arches above me. It was still night. Tonatiuh had not risen yet. Then I wondered why I was awake. I had just been having dreams, no, nightmares, of warriors who rode on great planks of wood and white leaves, and who shot death out of metal staffs. Yet it seemed that someone had woke me! Still, I told myslef as I looked around, nobody was here. I put my wing near my face and was about to settle back to sleep when I saw, through the sky-hole, that Sertor was aligned with Quenen! It was the great festival of me today! At this time, I must be being bejeweled! If the festival was not completed, Tonatiuh would destroy this Earth, and everyone on it! I aimed my head at the sky-hole, and threw an arc of pure fire out of my skull. The city had been awoken...

    *Little bit of confusion*
And for those that don't know it, an Ampithere is a seprent dragon with feathery wings but no legs.

Around six of the humans held the great silver helmet up. The helmet was a masterpeice, a work of the gods. Underneath the slit-like eyeholes were a series of depressions, each of which had been filled with sparkling rubies. Golden horns covered the head, and a gem-covered frill finished this noble mask. Though they were almost collapsing under it's enourmous weight, the humans carried it in front of my head. I leaned down and slid my head under this crown. I then lifted my skull back up, my helmet glowing woth power and beauty. My tail was already encased in flexable armor, and my chest in a giant plate. I reared up and roared my great majesty echoing around us. The humans ran out of the temple. Then, a man with a feathered headdress stepped in, accomponied by two preists. The trio bowed before me.

    They said, "Hail Lord Quetzalcoatl!"

    To be continued...

Since the forums are shutting down, I can't finish the story. Crying [:'(] Eventually, I will try to get it published in a short story collection (I will use the name "Tutthth-Ankhre", and the collection will be called "Tales of the gods").
