    Re: The Wolf's Prophecy

Okay. Here it is. Sorry, but I've been busy. (Getting a tank for the Beardie Dragon I'm getting later, and writing the stories in my short story book, "Tales of Many Lands.")

“Greetings.” The wolf said gruffly. “I am Thunder, leader of the Star Walkers.”

“Um, hello.” Storm stammered. “I’m Storm, and he’s Klip.”

“Well?” Thunder growled. Storm and Klip glanced at each other, and then looked back at the other wolves. A black female shrugged.

“Um… I don’t understand, Thunder.” Storm said nervously.

“What news have you brought us?” When Storm and Klip glanced at each other again, Thunder continued curiously, “You are the messengers, right?”

“No…” Storm shook her head. Thunder looked thoroughly disappointed, and he looked down at his paws, and then looked up again and sighed.

“Well, I suppose we’ll have to make room for you. But you’ll need to earn your food, or return home.”

    Ooohh...

Ok, did Wind fall only half way down the gorge, and land on a ledge?

Did he meet the enemies of the star walkers?

    Re: The Wolf's Prophecy

Sorry, it will take a little longer for me to write chapters now. I don't have much time on my hands. And the time I have is spent doing other things.

For a few days they earned their keep, and earned it well. But on the third day, during a break, Klip called Storm over.

“Psst!” he hissed from the shadows of a corner.

    “What?” Storm asked.

“Come in here!” Klip beckoned with his tail. Once Storm had entered the shade, Klip spoke again.

“We can’t do this forever, Storm, and you know it. Are these wolves the distant pack, or what?”

“I don’t know! That’s why we’re waiting.” Storm whispered back.

“Well, I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait forever.”

“Two more days, Klip. I promise. If it takes any longer, we can break for it.” Storm turned to leave, but Klip cut her off.

“But there is something else, Storm. These wolves are hiding something, I know it.”

Storm gulped. “The prophecy mentioned a Scourge threatening the distant pack, Klip.”

“I hope it isn’t the coyotes.” Klip shivered.

    The coyotes. Huh. If only.

    Re: The Wolf's Prophecy

Sorry, no time. No time at all.

Maybe I'll post soon. It's just that I have a big decision in my story now, and if I go on with it it will make them seem evil.

The Wolf's Prophecy *Gulp* The Time Has Come!!!

Ooh!!! This wasn't what I was expecting! It's better! Idea [I] Ding! Got a GREAT idea just now! *Cackles eviliy*

The next morning, Klip and Storm woke to a commotion outside their den. When they stepped outside, they saw all the Star Walkers sitting in two rows. One row on one side and the other row on the other. The moment they walked out, a black wolf who they considered a friend raced up to them, and started to cry.

“Storm! He was so old, Storm! He- He… And his second in command, Shadow, became leader! And my family, we all know how much trouble he is! But Thunder wouldn’t listen, Storm! We tried so hard, but he didn’t care!” The black wolf, whose name was Night, paused, and breathed deeply. “And now, now he’s going to drive you out, or maybe even kill you!”

But before they could growl, or do anything, a grey wolf pushed them from behind.

“Move it, scum! Shadow wants you at the entrance, NOW!” he shouted.

Storm knew what would have to happen now. She would have to fight Shadow, or die trying.

    Dragonriders:
I can see the evil laugh is working. *kidding* It is good anyway!

FUDGE!! I've changed my mind! Pay NO attention to the last chapter!!!!!!!!

(Recap)......“But there is something else, Storm. These wolves are hiding something, I know it.”

Storm gulped. “The prophecy mentioned a Scourge threatening the distant pack, Klip.”

“I hope it isn’t the coyotes.” Klip shivered.

The coyotes. Huh. If only. (End Recap)

The next morning, Klip and Storm woke to a commotion outside their den. When they stepped outside, they saw all the Star Walkers sitting in two rows. One row on one side and the other row on the other. At the very end, they saw Thunder sitting down, with a grave look on his face. They figured their only choice was to walk forward, so they did.

Once they stood in front of the large alpha male, he spoke.
“Klip, Storm, you will have to leave. There is not enough prey in the territory to support two more mouths.”

THAT was the chapter. Pay no attention to the chapter about Shadow taking over. So sorry about that.

Re: The Wolf's Prophecy *Gulp* The Time Has Come!!!

    *Huffle* Petty, Petty, short chapter...

Storm gazed back, eyes wide in shock. “What? But, we- we-”
“It is none negotiable.” A small black male stepped up beside Thunder. “Unless you can prove that we need you, you two must leave.”
“Fine.” Storm replied coldly, once she realized what the male had said was true. “We caught prey for the Star Walkers and ourselves, but if this is what you want, so be it.”

Storm stalked out of the cavern, Klip close behind.

Klip longingly glanced back, but followed Storm anyway.

They traveled the plains for a few hours, and they caught some prey. They didn’t talk, and Klip didn’t even complain, although he was very tired.

Luckily, as soon as the sun slipped beneath the horizon, Storm turned to Klip, and said it was time to rest. They found a warm spot under a snowy tree, and they huddled up for heat. They quickly fell into a deep sleep, undisturbed by dreams.
