Giver = Awesome! Personally it reminds me a bit of religion (not trying to offend anyone), though the last part is a bit confusing. Ever read The City of Ember? I forgot the author, but it's sort of the same idea as The Giver.

There are two more books after The Giver which will help understand the ending. Never read The City of Ember.

ooh, I read both The City of Ember and The Giver! (They were both for book reports, but I got to choose the book and I really liked them.)
