    Dragonriders:

    Reader # 4.

2 words, love it. Please,Please, Please write more. I can't have enough of this story. I would make a great book, too. One question: Why do Tgers have to be the evil ones, why can't it be anouther animal, but why Tigers?

I don't know, i just felt like doing something different, cause in alot of the stories, the tigers are the good ones, i don't hate tigers or anything.  I just wanted to do something different, okay, i will post the next chapter as soon as possible *quickly starts writing the next chapter*

    Re: The Dream Catcher

    Chapter 17

Crystal’s face lit up with delight, this was the best bit of news that she had heard all day and she hastily agreed to Karina’s offer.  Karina dropped her voice to a whisper “come, this way” she said beginning to walk though one of the many corridors.  Phene and Anita joined them through an adjoining hallway as though they had heard about the escape plans.  The sound of running footsteps filled the passage “Run!” Karina advised “we’re as good as dead if we don’t.”  At first Crystal followed the three running lionesses, then she immediately stopped “You go on, I will catch up later” she told the lionesses in a hushed tone.  “You’re a brave girl” Anita complimented, then she followed her friends out of the hallway.  Crystal hid behind a large, shapeless boulder.  Dark Night appeared, brackish tears had rolled down her cheeks leaving trails of wet fur.  Of course, Dark Night was smarter than that and spotted Crystal right away.  She dived at Crystal, but Crystal expertly dodged her.  Crystal tried to pin down Dark Night, but she was also a cunning warrior.  “You killed my Father” Dark Night accused, then, stealthily she leapt onto Crystal.  Crystal bit Dark Night’s paw in retaliation and scratched her neck.  Dark Night fell back down, but she wasn’t about to give up.  She managed to cut Crystal with her razor-sharp claws, but Crystal had fought back harder leaving Dark Night crippled.  Crystal limped towards Dark Night as she lay crippled on the floor “now, your reign of power will come to an end Dark Night.  And with that, the evil in this world will end to.”  Crystal’s voice was strong and determined and Dark Night looked up at her with fearful eyes.  Un-expectantly, Karina rushed around the corner and pushed Crystal off of Dark Night.  Crystal was shocked “traitor” she hissed at Karina “I thought you were here to help.”  Phene and Anita joined in from the other side, cornering Crystal, all there to defend Dark Night.  Crystal was hugely outnumbered, but she tried to defeat her enemies any way.  She went after Karina, as she was obviously the leader, but when she tried then she was pinned down by Phene and Anita.  Hate glazed Crystal’s eyes “I thought you were my friends, and you wanted to escape with me” Crystal said, pinned to the ground by the two lionesses.

Karina looked shocked at Crystal’s words “No, it was all acting, all three of us love our mother, we would never want to leave her side.  And the thought of you killing our mother, oh, that’s just horrible.  So, of course we had to defend her.” Karina reliably stated, lying down next to her mother.

Crystal felt like she had just been punched in the stomach, this was all new to her and she was even more confused when Dark Night lovingly began licking Karina as though she was the perfect mother.  Phene and Anita got off of Crystal and ordered her to walk back towards one of the cages.  Karina stayed by her injured mothers’ side “I love you mum” Crystal heard Karina say.  Then she was forced to walk away, she wanted to attempt to run again, but she was too injured.  Dark Night was no easy rival.  The pads on Crystal’s right paw were cracked and bleeding, her leg was cut so far that the shiny white bone was visible through the messy clotting.  And the cut across her face ached more than ever.  Unless someone or something was to come to her rescue, she was in no place to try another escape, walking was painful enough.

When Crystal finally came to the cage, she nearly welcomed it with open arms, and although it was painful for her to sleep on such jagged rocks, she was too tired to stay awake.  And she needed the rest if she ever wanted to heal.

    Re: The Dream Catcher

    Chapter 18

Crystal laid her head down on her aching paws and sooner than she knew, she was asleep.  She woke again when the smell of meat filled her cage.  It was a small portion, more blood than meat, but it was food and Crystal was thankful for it.  She hungrily ate the red meat and then drank the water that had been filled into a pothole in her cage.  Although dirt had collected in the water by the time that Crystal woke up, it still had a fresh, cool taste to it.  Crystal spent her time resting, though her dreams were often troubled by nightmarish thoughts and images.  One day, the meat was delivered to her cage, as usual and Crystal stood up on three legs, her fourth still not fully mended and she ate the nutritious food.  Karina had dropped off the meat and this time she whispered into Crystal’s cage “I can help you escape, I really can, come.”

Crystal stared at her in disbelief, ‘you have got to be kidding me’ she though to herself, then just gave Karina a blank look and continued eating.  A screeching sound filled the cage as Karina opened the door, still Crystal did not move.  She remembered clearly, as though it was yesterday, what had happened the last time that she had put her trust in Karina.  “Why aren’t you coming” Karina asked, almost ordering Crystal to move.

Scars covered Crystal’s pelt and, from the last time that she had tried to escape, she knew that she would probably end up with bleeding welts all over again.  Karina padded into the cage and nudged Crystal with her head, this time Crystal yelled at her “What, how stupid do you think I am Karina? I’m not falling for your tricks again, I remember what happened last time.”  This time, Karina didn’t ask kindly “well, I have authority over you, so you have to do as I say or say good-bye to your life” Karina threatened.  Crystal glared at her, but stood up anyway, “where do I have to go” she sighed.  Karina made sure that Crystal walked in front of her, so that if things were to get ugly, she would have the upper position and the clear path to end Crystal’s life.  Crystal limped ahead of Karina, her heart pounding in her chest; Karina’s voice ricocheted off of the walls “Walk faster” she said irritably.

“I can’t” came Crystal’s empty reply “if you were really trying to help me escape, then I wouldn’t be the hostage.

“You finally figured it out huh; well of course I’m not helping you that would mean that I betray my mother.”

A wave of fear washed over Crystal, ‘was she being led to her death?” Crystal didn’t dare ask the question, because she was afraid of the answer.

Karina read her mind “your not being led to your death, I’ll tell you that much, or at least it isn’t the original plan.  It depends, if you co-operate with my mother, then you might live another day.”

Crystal stopped and looked at Karina “Move” she ordered Crystal impatiently.  Through the hallways, Crystal was led, until she was no-longer inside the prison, the burning sands of the planet under her feet.  Crystal limped even more now, the delicate pads under her feet burning in the hot temperatures.  The thought of running filled Crystal’s mind several times, but Karina could run much faster, and unlike Crystal, she was being fed proper meals and her leg wasn’t crippled.

After exiting the prison, Crystal was led, hostage to another stone building.  The stone was carved into an intricate design that was appealing to the eye. ‘Just like the home of a great queen’ Crystal thought to herself.  The walls, flooring and roof were smooth, sanded to perfection unlike the prison.  Anita appeared from no-where to greet her sister, but her face looked pale, then she whispered something in Karina’s ear which Crystal could not hear and Anita disappeared as quickly as she had arrived.  Karina stared after her sister; whatever it was that Anita had said had troubled Karina.  “Crystal” Karina said after a long moment “as much as I love my mother, and want to do everything I can to stay on her good side” another hesitant pause, then “I don’t want her to kill you, I want the killing to stop, so follow me now; quickly.”

Crystal felt like ramming her head into a wall, she was sick of Karina’s games, did she honestly think that it was that interesting to watch someone suffer?  “Look Karina, I would love to believe you that you are going to help me escape, but I remember what happened the last time.  So please, I would just rather go and speak to your mother than fall for one of your tricks and get my leg cut off completely in the progress.” Crystal’s voice was harsh, but subsequently, Karina said “Crystal, listen to me, I know what I did last time, but Anita just told me the news.  Sky is dead, Dark Night killed her, and that means that there is nothing stopping her from killing you.  Sky was the one that brought you back to life, and she could have brought you back again, which is why Dark Night did not kill you sooner.  But now that Sky is dead, Dark Night will kill you for sure, and then the world will be ruled by evil.  You don’t want that do you, Crystal?”

Crystal was scared, but she didn’t know whether of not Karina could be trusted and if she was being led into a trap.   Right now however, Crystal did not have a choice, “Okay, let’s go” she said softly and unsurely.  Karina brightened up, then, as quickly as she had brightened up, she looked like she was going to be sick.  Dark Night slinked out from behind the shadows “Karina, do you dare betray your mother?” Dark Night hissed, and spitted.  Karina was terrified “No mother, I would never” then she quickly ran in the opposite direction, she shot a worried glance at Crystal and Crystal could read it in her eyes “good luck”.  Crystal gulped, that could only mean one thing.

Good chapter.  I'm just wondering why Crystal didn't turn into a mouse or something and sneek away earlier.

Um, i don't know if i mentioned this earlier, but on the planet that she is on right now, she can't use her powers.  So, yeah, she can't change form into a mouse.  Sorry that that was unclear, i will post the next chapter soon

    Re: The Dream Catcher

    Chapter 19

Crystal backed away from Dark Night, all the fur on her body stood on end.  “I will never let you win Dark Night; I could have killed you last time too.  So what is stopping me from killing you?  Dark Night bitterly laughed, then pulled Amber and Sprint out of the shadows.  She withdrew a single, silver nail from her paw and held it close to Amber’s neck.  “This, is what is stopping you from killing me.”  Amber yelped in fear, large amounts of tears rolling down her damp cheeks.  Crystal lurked forward, hoping to somehow rescue her friend.

“You killed my father Crystal, and now, I will do the same for you” Dark Night tormented as she killed Amber, leaving her lifeless on the cold floor.  Sprint whimpered quietly, and Dark Night turned to glare at him.  Dark Night sprang towards Crystal without warning and scratched her across the arm.  Crystal tried to fight back, but Dark Night expertly moved away, dodging Crystal’s paw by mere centimeters.  Crystal tried lunging at Dark Night, but her legs were injured, and her attempt failed.  Crystal wasn’t about to give up, she tried again, still to no avail.  Dark Night neared again, but this time, Crystal was able to grab her leg between her teeth; in retaliation, Dark Night scratched Crystal across the face, forcing her to let go.  Sprint barked furiously at Dark Night, but he was the least of her worries and she kept her focus on Crystal.  After a long, torturous, one hour battle between the two tigers, things were looking good for Dark Night.  A large gash ran down her back and one of her paws was bleeding from the bite marks where Crystal had bit her, but aside from that, she was fine.  Crystal however, wasn’t as lucky and she collapsed from blood loss.  Crystal knew that this was the end for her as the strength drained from her legs, which then gave way beneath her.

Dark Night let out a long sigh of relief, she had finally won, now she controlled the world, the skies, the ground, and the underground.  She was pleased with herself and she padded over to Crystal, and ended her life, again.  Karina, Anita and Phene stood watching from the shadows, “it’s over; Dark Night has won, now the world will live under her evil ruling.” Karina whispered, her voice filled with agony.  Anita and Phene looked at Karina, “perhaps, we can do something to help her” Phene suggested.  Karina looked at her sister, “Yes, we can, Bright Morning has that magical fountain on Earth that can bring animals back to life.  But we must wait, until mother thinks that we are ready to handle our powers, then, we will be able to aid Crystal in eradicating Dark Night.”

Anita looked shocked “you want to kill Mother?” she asked, “yes, Anita, it is the only way, and you know that we are only her adopted children, she has no real children of her own.”  Then, Karina, followed by Phene and Anita left the area where Dark Night killed Crystal.   After days had passed and Dark Night’s wounds had healed she summoned her children to her room and addressed all of them.  “First” she said “Karina, I will give you your powers, the powers that once belonged to Sky, are now yours.”  Karina bowed her head in thanks as her mother chanted the words needed to pass powers to someone else.  Then, next, she appointed Anita the powers to control the ground, and Phene she gave, control over the underground.  Dark Night kept some powers for herself, like the one to bring back the dead which she would use on Karax.  She was un-aware of the Fountain of Life, which did the same thing, without the need of any powers.  Karina, Anita and Phene thanked Dark Night and left, as soon as the giant gate to Dark Night’s room was closed, Karina whispered “Now, is our chance, lets go.”

The three lionesses went to the place where Crystal, Amber and Sprint lay dead, and quietly and stealthily managed to transport them back to Earth, with the help of their newly acquired powers.  Once on Earth, they had a problem, none of them knew where to find the fountain.  Bright Morning’s spirit, seeing that the lionesses were trying to help, guided them to the fountain.  Karina, the oldest of the three, suddenly had a vision, “Bright Morning” she whispered into the darkness.  “Karina, I have seen that your intensions are good, you must follow the brightest star that you see, and it is called the sun, by the Earthlings.  You must follow it for three nights and four days, in the direction that it first rises, then you will see a fountain that is much like a waterfall.  It is the fountain that you seek, the life of the worlds’ rest in your paws.”

Then it was over, Karina turned to the Sun, “this way” she said as she continued dragging Crystal.

    Re: The Dream Catcher

    Chapter 20

Karina was exhausted; Crystal wasn’t light, unlike Amber and Sprint who her sister’s had to carry.  Suddenly, the sound of running water filled her ears and her mood lightened up.  Sure enough, they came to a large fountain that ran down the side of a cliff into a small, circular pool.  Karina pushed Crystal into the water, and she was more relieved than anything to hear Crystal’s gurgle and gasp for air.  Phene and Anita put Amber and Sprint into the small circular lake too, and one by one, all of them came back to life.  Crystal opened her eyes; she was surprised to see Karina, smiling broadly at her.  Crystal got up, and walked out from the pool, she shook her fur to dry it off “Thank you Karina” Crystal said and then, feeling that she had just made a new friend, she made a sarcastic joke “So, Karina, I think this is the twelfth time that I have died now and came back to life isn’t it?”  Karina laughed heartily, speak for yourself, you were just along for the ride, I was the one that had to drag you all the way here, and isn’t twelve a little over exaggerated?”  Crystal smiled, “Thank you Karina, I appreciate this more than you will ever know.”

“No, I think that I know how much you thank me, I helped you now because we are going to help you kill Dark Night.  We do not want the world to be ruled by evil, you, Crystal, are the true one that is fit to rule.” Karina bowed her head as she said it, and Crystal felt more loved than anything at that point.

Crystal looked at her new friends “Thank you, all of you” then she turned to Amber and Sprint and said “Amber, Sprint, we have to go back and fight Dark Night, you two stay here and go back home, it’s too dangerous.”

“You’re very brave” Amber told Crystal and the lionesses, “I would never go back to that place if it was up to me”.  Then, Amber started walking away, in the direction of home, and Crystal, Karina, Anita, and Phene all started their journey to fight Dark Night.  As Crystal watched Amber disappear towards home, she remembered her mother, she was probably worried sick about her, but she would go home in good time, hopefully.  Right now, Crystal had other things to worry about, which were much more important.  The trip would have been much easier if Dark Night had given them the power to transport to wherever they wanted, but she kept that power to herself.  It would make it harder for them to fight her, but it didn’t mean that it was impossible to kill her either.

The dense tree that they had been walking through grew thinner and thinner until they came to a busy street.  “Oops” Crystal mumbled as a series of screams began to ricochet all over the street.  Karina, Anita and Phene were quite shocked by the peoples’ sudden and exaggerated reactions, but then they remembered that it wasn’t usual for them to see a tiger and three lionesses walking down the side of the street.  Several people began pressing mobile phones to their ears and started explaining to authorities that there were wild animals walking down the street.  All four of them began to run, and as soon as they were hidden amongst the trees once more, they changed into birds.  They tried to spread their wings, but they were extremely inexperience flyers.  They opened their wings and flapped, but not nearly fast enough to create the lift necessary for flight.  “You know, I thought flying would be much easier” Phene and Anita complained in unison, then, it seemed, as soon as the words were out of their mouths, they began to lift off of the ground.

Dark Night watched this from her perch on top of the clouds which she now controlled.  Anger surged through every vein in her body “so you betray me, daughters, when you arrive at my home, I will show you what you have gotten yourselves into.” She hissed at spat the sight, then transported herself to her home of the ruby-colored star.

Flying was the most wonderful thing that Crystal had ever felt, and once they were at the fountain, Crystal felt like she just wasn’t a bird for long enough.  All four of them transformed into tigers and walked through the treacherous, painful tunnel until they reached the portal.  They walked through, but as soon as they were on the other side of the portal, nothing was the same.  The reddish, scorching ground, cracked and crumbled beneath their feet and it caved into a strange slide before they even had a chance to realize what just happened.  The slide was crude and painful, but it soon spat out all four them into one of the dungeon cells; Dark Night waited on the other side, an impish grin reaching from her left ear to her right.  The hole from which the slide spat them out patched itself up as quickly as it had appeared and greenish, red magic surged up and down the reinforced steel bars that locked the prisoners in.  The magic ensured that they could not escape, even if they tried to use their magic.  Karina, Anita and Phene were more afraid than anything, expecting the worst from their mother, but instead, she just took away their powers and left.  Not a peep was heard from Crystal, Karina, Anita or Phene as Dark Night chanted the words necessary to take away the powers that she had given.  Then, Karax appeared from behind the corner “traitors” he hissed at his grand-daughters “you betrayed your mother, you are lucky that she has chosen to leave you alive”, then he left, followed by Dark Night.

    Re: The Dream Catcher

Sorry i made all of you wait for so long. i hope that you haven't forgotten about this story, but i am posting the next chapter

    Chapter 21

On Earth, things began to get worse, now that it was ruled by Dark Night and Karax, there was a lot of fighting and wars.  Similar to the star that Crystal, Karina, Phene, and Anita were being held captive, the clouds never showered a single drop of water.  The plants began to shrivel up and die, and the livestock population started to drop drastically.  People fought over small things and famine was a world-wide problem.

The eight years passed and Crystal had her 21st birthday inside the same, dirty dungeon cell with the other three lionesses.  That same day the last pack of preserved beans was pulled off of the empty grocery shelves, the last anywhere on the world.  It was Elizabeth that had taken the packet of beans, and she quickly took it before someone could steal it from her, she had long since assured herself that Crystal was dead, never to come back ever again.  But she still grieved because of her, she wished, more than anything that she be able to see Crystal once more before she too, died of starvation and thirst.  Because it hadn’t rained for the past eight years, water was also becoming scarce, hardly any water could be salvaged from the salty seas, and the drinkable water had almost run out.  Everyone was reduced to the smallest rations and several people stole supplies from each other, hoping to live for another week, but the chances were slim.

Crystal slept inside the prison, un-aware of what was going on in her home world when she was woken by the feeling of a sudden rush of swirling wind.  Crystal opened her eyes to see, a miniature twister spinning through her jail room; it woke up Karina, Phene and Anita too.  Then it swirled over to the steel bars that had kept them imprisoned all of this time and it strengthened.  It twisted the bars, even though they were still re-enforced with magic and then, it broke them.  She was overcome by a wave of happiness, here, there was nothing to do, nowhere to go, nothing tasty to eat.  Everything was the same every day; she was cramped with her room-mates inside a jail cell that didn’t have enough room even to run around.  Because of lack of exercise, none of them ever had an appetite, and when they were given their small rations of meat and water, they hardly ate.  Crystal realized, someone, had come to save them, and if they could succeed, then they would be free.  All four of them eagerly stood up, their legs stiff and tired from lack of exercise and outside of the broken metal bars, two male-tigers appeared and urged them to hurry up.  “Hurry” the first one said “We must defeat Dark Night; evil has spread through the lands, we have searched for you for a long time, and we have finally found you, now come.  We will have a better chance if Dark Night does not know about our plans.”

Crystal looked at Karina, as if she was asking for permission, Karina nodded her head, and the others followed too.  “Who are you” Crystal asked the two tigers.  The first one whispered back “I am the Tiger of the Air and Wind, Stripe-wing, and he is the Tiger of the Seas, Wave-stripe.  You are Crystal, Tiger of the Lands, and the one chosen by Bright Morning.  Crystal looked at him, how did he know so much about her? Then her thoughts were distracted by other things.  As they were walking through the dungeon, two more tigers joined them through adjoining corridors.  Stripe-wing stopped to do a brief introduction, “this is Flame-stripe” he started quietly “he is the Tiger of Fire and Heat, and this is Night-stripe, the Tiger of Night and Day.  Now you know all of us, we must find and defeat Dark Night before she can do more harm.”  His voice was solemn but determined and Crystal felt as though it would finally be possible to defeat Dark Night.

Wave-stripe mumbled something quietly to himself, Crystal thought that she heard him saying “What a cursed planet, it would make this so much easier if we could fully use our powers, instead of only some of them.”  Although Crystal felt the same way, she knew that there was nothing else that could be done; suddenly, the sound of footsteps filled the corridor.  All eight of them quickly hid behind a row of degraded pillars as Karax strutted in front of them.  Flame-stripe cocked his head to one side, motioning to the rest of them to move in for the attack.  Apparently, Karax had not figured out that they were planning to kill him; he carried a dead animal of some sort in his mouth, probably to give to his former prisoners.

They slipped out from behind the pillars and stealthily got behind Karax, who just realized that there was someone behind him.  He turned in a flurry of reddish fur, his strange orange eyes erupting into flames as he saw the attack party that was waiting for him.  Stripe-wing pounced, followed by Wave-stripe, Flame-stripe, Night-stripe, Crystal and the three lionesses.  Karax was heavily outnumbered, he didn’t stand a chance, but he still fought back, scratching with his claws and biting with his teeth.  His life ended short as Wave-stripe slit his throat, a torrent of blood streaming out from his cut throat.  The sight was horrible, and Crystal gagged at the sight, she had felt the same way when she had killed him the first time.  Night-stripe quickly started walking away, “now, it is only Dark Night that is left” he said enthusiastically.  Crystal looked at him with awe, how badly she wished that she could be that brave.  She swallowed a sudden gush of saliva, which she knew was pure fear and took a deep breath, every other time that she had tried to kill Dark Night, it was she that had died in turn. “But this will be different” she said to herself, trying to soothe her worry, then, she quickly ran after the rest of them.   They soon exited the dungeon, walking out into the scorched, parched ground.  The air was hot and sticky, and as Crystal breathed it, it felt as though she was breathing soup.  “This is what Earth has become” Wave-stripe said softly “I can only control the water that is already there, it is Dark Night that controls whether or not it will rain, and whether or not the clouds will cover the sun to cool the land.”  They started running in the direction of Dark Night’s fortress, knowing that they would put an end to her evil, for good.  All of them were afraid as they placed their paws on the hard stone floor, but Crystal was now determined after hearing what Dark Night had done to her home land.  She hoped that her mother had faired well and managed to survive; but right now, she had to put those worries to the back of her mind.  There were other things that she had to worry about.”

They searched the fortress for any sign of Dark Night, but she was no-where to be seen.  “I don’t know where else to search” Karina panted “we have searched her home, but perhaps, she has gone to Earth.”  Still running, they exited Dark Night’s mansion and ran, as fast as they could to the portal.  At the edge of the portal, Anita abruptly stopped “Wait!” she hastily ordered “Karina, Phene, we can’t go through there, we will die, the portal only allows Tigers to go through.  If Dark Night had not taken out powers, maybe we could have transported there, but, right now, we are stuck.”  Phene and Karina looked at her, she was right, they had to stay here.  “We will stay here, and if Dark Night comes here, then, we will kill her.” Phene offered, Karina nodded her head in agreement, then, turned back towards Dark Night’s palace.  Phene and Anita hurried after her and Crystal followed the Tigers through the portal and back to Earth.  As soon as they had walked through the portal and they stood in the cool room that started before the torturous tunnel, they could use their powers again.  They transported out of the tunnel, which made it much easier and less painful.  It was strange, the tunnel to the Star was so cold that it hurt to walk through it, but the Star itself is burning hot.  Crystal looked around now that she was back on Earth; it had changed greatly in the past eight years that Crystal was gone.  In the cloudless sky, the sun beat down heavily and the ground was just as hot as the ground on the Star.  Trees and Plants had died a long time ago it seemed, nothing was left except for shriveled up stems.  The bark had been eaten off of the trees, presumably by the wild deer in their attempts to find food.  The sound of yelling floated to the spot where Crystal was standing with the Tigers, someone was fighting, then, yelling turned to gunshots, and then everything was quiet.  “You see, this is what Dark Night has done, now we must find her and kill her.  There might still be hope” Flame-stripe said, a sad tone in his voice, he almost seemed hopeless, and Crystal had to admit, the chances that the world could still be saved were slim.  They started sprinting through the dried trees that surrounded them when Night-strip spoke up “she might be at Bright Morning’s fountain, she is probably trying to convert it to evil”.  All of them turned towards the sun, Wave-stripe took Crystal with him when he transported and the rest of them followed.  Sure enough, there was Dark Night, standing above the fountain, trying to figure out how to change it from the Fountain of Life and Healing to another Fountain of Death.  “Back away from the Fountain Dark Night” all five of them hissed at Dark Night.  Dark Night spun around to look at them “You!” she screeched “Ah, yes, the Stripe family, you have come to battle me huh, well good luck with that, you WILL fail.”

“You can’t ensure that Dark Night” Stripe-wing countered, then, he sprang towards her.  Dark Night dodged him, but then she was surrounded by the others.  Dark Night pounced on Crystal, pinning her to the ground, but Crystal pushed her off.  Dark Night stumbled to the side, not expecting that Crystal would have been able to do that.  Flame-Stripe caused the dried trees in that section to start burning.  Dark Night roared in pain and agony, then she quickly exited the burning section of trees that burnt out as soon as she left the area.  The ground quaked and an impish smile spread across Dark Night’s face as the ground split beneath Flame-stripe, Stripe-wing, Night-stripe, Wave-stripe and Crystal.  At that same moment, Stripe-wing sent a twisting tornado towards Dark Night.  She lost her concentration and the Earthquake stopped.  They leapt onto Dark Night and she collapsed under the sudden weight of the five Tiger’s that landed on her.  Dark Night sent another Earthquake, but they stayed where they were, something that Dark Night was not expecting.  Crystal raised her paw, and she delivered the killing strike.  The fire that continuously burned in Dark Night’s eyes now softened, then they went blank, her orange-yellow eyelids closed over her eyes.
