Your zoo is being allowed to adopt two Giant Otters and care for them, even find out their ailment! Complete this campaign to unlock the Amazonian Theme and Pygmy Three-Toed Sloth!

Adopt the Giant Peccary and meet its basic and advanced needs

Take a photo of the Giant Peccary sniffing out Truffles

Take a picture of a Coati with an unhappy emoticon over its head to get a free Moist Cloud

In the second and first Exhibit, try to share the goodness of the Moist Cloud between them

Gain a half star to acquire a Glaucous Macaw for the Rainforest exhibit (share the moist cloud with the Grassland exhibit where the Coati lives)

Create a pavilion around the 4 exhibits costing under $10,000

I think microsoft game studios should make a 3rd expantion pack so you can have as many dinos as the ice age animals in extinct animals. There could be a tall electric iron bar fences, and a electrical viewing canopy. You can even see dinosaurs literally bite each other. There will even be 50 types of trees and plants. Well I mean 25 new plants and 25 new trees. You can get a new type of way to get dinosaur DNA and a much larger lab that you can walk inside of. You can even walk into buildings and bathrooms. When a stall or room is occupied with a person, you can't enter. You can even do the activites guests can do, like going on rides and digging in the play dig pit. The other cool part is you can video tape your animals. The amount of minuites per video is 10 min. You can upload them on zoo tycoon so everyone can watch. If you go on the web site you can burn a disk with a video in it. The video camera feature is like the camera feature except you can video tape the animals. The camera feature won't be gone. You can film be pressing space bar to begin film. You can even watch the videos in your game. To end film you can press space bar again. You can continue the film until you run out of minuites. It doesn't even cost money to download them into a disk. All you have to do is buy a cd that you can download songs into. Now back to the dinos. To get more dino DNA you must look for amber in a tree. When you get up to tree and on the screen it says press space bar to collect amber press space bar and click on the amber when it shows the mingame. The mingame scene takes place in the tree. You could see some tree dwelling animals pass you while you are collecting the amber. When you click on amber the amber emlarges and it shows if there is a misqiuto or not, if there is, on the screen it will say "press spacebar to collect amber. Then you take it to the larger extinct research lab I just meansioned. You can still revive dinos from their bones. You can walk around the lab and you can see a whole buch of scientists doing stuff. You can walk through doors and see what lies in each room. There are also the Reviving labs and DNA extracting labs you can walk into and use. In the DNA extracting test all you have to do is press the left and right arrow keys. As you do it it gets harder. Then you can go into reviving lab and do the same thing in extinct animals. You can even have your own office sice you own the zoo. With this game you can get an extra large zoo. Animals in this game only get happy if you use the correct biome and give them foliage that comes from the country/continent/area where they came from. You can even go into the staff center and get supplies. You can even get food/drinks, sit down and throw away food/drinks. You can even get a suvenier at the gift shop. Everything you buy in guest mode from your zoo is free since you own the zoo. You could even ride your ridable animals. In your zoo's main entrance there is a booth where you guests walk right up to and pay for admitance before they enter zoo property. The last thing is you can hire a scientist and he/she enters the lab and studies and does research on your animals. Diseases from real life are in your game and can affect any kind of animal. There is also a small building where your super sick animals can be brought to, only if you are to lazy to help your animals. You can even hire a veterinarian. Now for the animals

Idea for the next expansion

I didnt think of a name for this but i know its a good idea. It will be like combining ZT1 with ZT2. Remember when you had to guess what to put in an exhibit? You can have that, except without guessing. For example, when you made a benegal tiger exhibit in ZT1, it needed the following: dirt,grass, rainforest grass, and freshwater. And mangrove trees. Those trees came in different shapes and sizes. You should put that in ZT2. Also heres another thing to add- primary terrains and secondary terrains. For example, savannah grass would be a primary terrain. You can add sand to it, which covers it making the sand a secondary terrain. Also new animals would be nice. Heres a few examples of animals you should add: Andean mountain cat, bactrian camel, aye-aye, bandicoot, chinchilla, bighorn sheep, blue whale, all 3 species of chimpanzee(well you have one species already heres the other ones: masked and long haired), Chinese river dolphin, echidna, ferret, fossa, giant otter, river otter, hycanith macaw, key deer, and a kinkajou. If you want, suggest more animals. You should also put in new animal variants. For example, rather than just having an orange ibex, you can get a gray one. Also new minigames would be cool. For example for your resturants and food stands, you can serve the items your self. There is a risk. You can either do better than your workers or do worse than your workers.

So many people in this forum are asking for fantasy animals, domestic animals etc.

I'm not really here to suggest much but has anyone really looked at the WWF website?

When you go look there it takes you to the Adopt an Animal page.

Just look at them all. There's a few animals there I'm sure people would like in their zoos.

Take the amur leopard for instance. There's less than 40 in the wild, and none in captivity from what it says.

I'm posting this for a few reasons:

1. Some people might have forgotten what ZT is about. It's a game sure but it's trying to encourage people to care about the world we live in. So many animals have been hunted, endangered, even wiped out from our planet. And chances are we'll never see them again.

2. We need to get people noticing animals which people might have never heard of that are in even worse condition than Tigers or Panda bears. We're still hurting our enviroment, and we wont stop until it's too late. Slowly as our species grows larger, we're removing more and more habitat for animals. Sooner or later we're going to have no fresh grass to look at exept in local parks and protected lands.

3. I'm an animal lover, I've never spoken up like this and I think It's time I should. ZT is trying to speak out to everyone telling them we need to stop and think about whats going on. You're all focused about cars, computers, all this technology. I love it too, and if you took it away from me I'd probably take awhile to adjust. Thats what our animals are doing. Trying to adjust. Trying to find homes which we have torn away from them. My local zoo has a tiger poster with all the species of tiger. Last time I went there was a new red cross over a tigers face. Yet again, we've lost another valuable species.

I just want to sugesst we look for those animals which we know little about and keep them alive somehow. Even if it's just a game. At least we knew they existed at least we got the word out that they need help.

Please don't come in here and complain "Oh you're so stupid" or anythign like that, if you got issues with this, go elsewhere and whine.

A Few Minor Adjustments

Although we complain a great deal about how much Zoo Tycoon 2 needs to be improved, we must agree that the game already pretty thoroughly complete. The game already has over 130 species and innumerable game features ranging from amusing guest behaviors to complex extinct animal creation. Although many fans would enjoy such additions as mythological creatures, the idea is not practical as it is far too controversial. Personally, I would wish to have customizable buildings as well as more species from Australia and the Americas, but neither wish would improve the game greatly. There are, however, a few minor adjustments that could make gameplay much easier. One such concerns the animal adoption menu:

The addition of the "Decline All" button in Extinct Animals was a very useful feature in that it relieved the tedium of declining each offer individually. However, it presents one small problem: Suppose that a player, in repeatedly declining all offers, has found a desired species but can not yet afford it and is still searching for another particular species. In such an instance, the player cannot use the "Decline All" button, since it would also decline the species already found, but it also becomes very tedious to decline each of the offers individually, especially since there is the constant risk of accidentally declining the desired species. The system could be much improved if the player could "lock" certain slots so that the offer in that slot would not be declined when the "Decline All" button is pressed. Rather, the offers in every slot except those that are locked would be declined.

Another useful improvement has to do with animal donations. Certain challenges and campaigns require a particular amount of money to be donated to a certain species or group of species (marine animals, endangered species, etc.) It is possible to track the amount of money donated to a particular species from individual donation boxes, but there is currently no easy way to keep track of the total donations for that species. It would be useful if, somewhere amongst the Zoo Stats, there was a chart that kept track of the total donations for each species or group of species. The same could apply to individual marine shows and tours.

New features for the expansion pack

Give your critically endangered animals babies for adoption and receive half the amount of money they value.

The "Environmentalists's Choice Award" which will be given to the manager of the zoo (this means you,the player) when 20 different critically endangered animals have given birth. The "Environmentalists's Choice Award" will increase the birth rate of all the critically endangered species.

The increased educational and entertaining influence of the animals's from this expansion pack to the guests/ Let's say a guest sees an Orca or a Florida Panther and as a standard value, the guest donates $100 + other factors value such as the "favourite animal" factor is. In "One step before extinction" the guest will donate $100 + other factors value + 20% on the total score. Isn't this good?! It means that the guest in this example will donate $120 + other factors value.

Buildings, Objects, Enrichment items and Guests's amenities

There will be a new global library and internet cafe. This building will help the guests to infuse into their favourite animals habits. By learning every detail for the animals they like guests will now be happier willing to spend more time at the zoo and giving more money as educational donations. There is only one drawback though, only one kind of this building may be build at each zoo.

New scrub theme for objects

New climbing trees (for the primates) , rock puddles (for the Siberian Tiger) , mud and sticks, worms (as a new kinf of food), mice as live prey food.

New Chinese restaraunt (this one will satisfie the toitel and rest needs as well)

New Ninja Encampment as a guest attraction.

New food stalls: shrimp on a stick, fish and fries, pitta donner and pizza slice food stalls.

New Pizza themed tables and trashcans.

New statues: loving doves statuette, sawfish VS angelshark statue

New playground equipment: Okapi bouncing ride, Giant Squid trampoline and arcade machines

Zoo Tycoon for Gaming Platforms

Microsoft should start making the Zoo Tycoon franchise for gaming platforms like the Xbox 360.

Just imagine it... better graphics, more detail, more maps, more features, more animals, better expansion packs...... a better game overall.

I am not saying to stop the production of the computer games, I'm just saying that they could also make them for gaming platforms.

I would say most people don't have those expensive gaming computers, like me, but most do have some type of a gaming platform, which allows us to play a game with less difficulty, because, for instance, my computer starts slowing down when I start playing a game on it and it somtimes freezes up and I hate that. Sometimes it also starts giving those error messages and doesn't even let me play.

What do you think about this?

This is more a third party item idea, but I'd like to see an item for ZT2 that generates money somehow. I dislike waiting hours to get the money to complete scenarios, and this way if a person doesnt want to cheat they just dont download it.

This is on topic and I think most of you will want to hears this so read on.

I am calling for the next ZT2 EXP should have a function on the main menu which would allow you to enter a mose which you can use to easily make new animals from scratch or re-design an existing one. With tutorials from the designers themselves. It would be an easy and cheap way to make animals for download and to implant them into the game.

The designers wouldn't have to think it all up themselves, they could ask us exactly what we want.
