After Uninstalling, It Won't Let Me Install

Alright, so I installed Zoo Tycoon II: Zookeeper Collection and the Endangered species expansion pack and the download animal thing (adding the Ibex or something). It gave me an error message when I tried running Endangered species so I figured I had a bad install. I uninstalled Endangered species, then the Zookeeper collection. So now I want to install everything again.

Now here's the kicker. Whenever I hit the "Install" button on the autorun of Zoo Tycoon II, the installer starts up and I'm told that it's going to uninstall the game and asks me if I want to keep my savegames and downloaded content. Well, the trouble is, it's ALREADY uninstalled. So I hit yes figuring it missed something the first time around and it instantly tells me setup is finished. So I try installing again... only to be told again that I need to uninstall the game.

So how to I let my computer know that Zoo Tycoon II already IS uninstalled? Is there some way to force it to install rather than running the installer first? Is there some registry key I have to delete? There's nothing in the Program Files folder, and I can't find anything related to Zoo Tycoon II on my hard drive. Any help would be greatly obliged.

Oh, and I'm running Windows XP SP2.

Hi,

Has anyone had a problem like that? When I get too close or in visitor mode the game seams to stop and the monitor starts flashing without image. I did not happen before I have the software for 1.5 years.

Hey Guys, I have bought this program a fair year ago, I wanted to open it up and play it again because I am bored, but I can't seem to get it to work, at ALL.

I am running on Windows XP, I'm pretty sure the disk is clean and non-scratched, but it just won't work!

i had the game installed on my computer before, but it crashed and i had to reinstall everything. Com. collect. worked fine before, but now first, it says "unable to get video memory from directdraw". then i press continue, but it says "ZT2 needs at least 32Mb of video memory to run(0Mb detected). it was perfect before, please help i have Windows XP home, just enough RAM(512mb), and plenty of hard drive space. i have absolutly no info on my graphics card, but again the game was fine before. Also, my speakers don't work

Help Help, I brought zoo complete collection for my granddaughter (and Me of course) and followed instruction to install ticked all the right boxes and what have yous, pressed play and had great fun for 3 hours, (tired eyes) then the next day went to play again and programme started to load then went blank and back to my normal screen ?????? tried again ?????? reinstalled tried again ????? still cant get it to load and play , downloaded a 'patch' like was told to, still nothing so please help anyone we really want to play for what we payed for.

Ok, So on my Extinct Animals it says failed to generate new product code, And on my MM it stops at the last file and says it cannot find/locate it? And its realy making me sad now, Ive tried multiple times cleaning the disk, And restarting/reinstalling zoo tycoon and all of my expansions, But it seems that these two have those problems, Can anyone help me please? Well, obviously I am having troubles installing the disk. It is the orginal zoo tycoon 2 disk. I got bored with it about 3 months ago, and uninstalled. Now, I want to play it again. I have cleaned the disk numerous times. Every time when I hit install, when it gets to 7% it says it can't copy the disk. So, I can either hit retry, ignore, or quit. I have tried retry and ignore, retry, it still doesn't work, and ignore, it moves on but it happens again when I get to about 30%. I am afraid to much will be missing if I keep hitting ignore. HELP!!!!!!!!

Stupid game! I hate you! Yes, my laptop meets ALL the system requirements, runs great, and has never had a problem before.

But today it just up and QUIT on me! I was looking at the overview map, and BOOM! back to the desktop it went! No warning, no error code, nothing at all! It just died! Anyone have any idea as to what happened?

I try downloading the addax but after it trys installing install sheild wizard, a message will pop up saying "Zoo Tycoon 2 is not installed. Please intall zoo tycoon 2 and run the wizard again". And yes, i installed Zoo TYcoon 2. I have ZKC,MM, and AA. Does the fact that i use Windows Vista have to do anything about it?

zoo tycoon 2 / african adventure

After installing zoo tycoon 2 and endangered species, african adventure will not install. All it wants to do is uninstall. I had it on the computer but took it off because some of the objects were missing.

I have removed the whole game and done a clean boot to no avail. It is a new vista premium with 4GB of memory.

I have installed it on an XP machine and a vista labtop with no problem.

I just installed ZT2 on my new laptop. I launched the game, and it came up with an error message stating I needed at least 256MB of memory, and that I had 0MB.

My system:

HP Pavilion dv9830us

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo, T5550 @ 1.83GHz

Memory: 4GB PC5300 DDR2

Video: Nvidia Geforce 8600M GS

OS: Vista SP1 Home Premium, 64-bit.

Is there a workaround for this problem? If the only solution is to downgrade to 2GB, then I think I'll just uninstall the game and play something else.

Problem insalling Zoo Tycoon 2 Extinct animals on Windows XP

I have insalled Zoo Tycoon 2: Zookeeper's Collection, then I installed Zoo Tycoon 2 Marine Mania, both without any problem. Now I'm trying to install Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals, but after it get to the file C:\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2\x210_000.z2f the disk makes weird noises then the progress bar progresses and eventually goes to the end but when it does it just continuesly makes weird noises and is still on the same file. I have a printscreen picture of it if that would help. Suggestions?

Okay, i press for the game or put in the CD, and it comes up with the autoplay thing. So i press play and the window thing disappears and nothing happens. I've tried changing the compatibility, i've tried updates and i've tried the other expansion pack disks (I have all of them including extinct, the last one i installed). It was working last week and i haven't played it since. I tried to play it today and zippo. Please help.

You see i went to play zt2 when I started it came up with a messige saying another instance of startup.exe is allready in proggress but zt2 was the only program running so i restarted my pc same thing happend i uninstalled zt2 renstalled it (all the xp's aswell) and the same thing happend please help.
