The low graffic setting has no ambients (I think), the water is dark, the terrain is very solid colored, and the plants, animals, buildings, and etc. are sharp edged, this is the only setting where variants don't appear.
The medium graffic setting is the one where ambients appears, the water isn't reflective (but lighter than low quality), the buildings, plants, and animals are impressive looking and not jagged.
The high quality setting, has ambients (of course), and shiny; reflective water, the buildings, animals, and plants are bueatiful and detailed.
Since my computer is old and slow, I only use high quality when taking pictures, and most of the time I have to use low quality. I doesn't matter know that the computer is away, being fixed.
