CHAPTER 2: A New World (cont.)
I tried to reason with the creature using the few words I knew, but it came out sounding like some things of which I will not go into detail. Anyhow, as I blabbered away, I heard another sound in the distance. It sounded like the creature as it came towards me, but there was something else. It sounded like... Mother? Mother came in and yelled, "Run! back to the den!" and I heard loud sounds from near the creature roared and said to me, we will see again." I heard him charge into mother, and mother respond with a pained wimper. I inched back to where I vaugely remembered the den was, and tumbled in. I was surprised to hear other wimpering, and could pick up some, "where muthuh?" I wimpered, relieved to have friends. Also, it seemed I was not the only one with trouble speaking. I managed to mumble, a barely understandable, "Fighting,". the voices and wimperings were silent. I listened to myself, and knew. I spoke, fluently! Fluently! then I noticed something. A new sense, I wish I had know sooner. Sight.
CHAPTER 3: Sight

I also noticed something red on her shoulder. she ran over to me and nuzzled me like there was no tommorrow. Then, she asked the two words I hated her to ask. "What happened?"
